Established in 2001, Shakoor Interiors is a boutique interior design firm, specializing in historic residences, bachelor pads, small space design, new construction and outdoor living spaces.
With the primary goal of articulating her client's lifestyle, Design Principal, Erin Shakoor delivers well-edited spaces using customized solutions and authentic products. Working closely with them, she creates environments that look as if they have developed over the years. A process which ultimately saves time and avoids costly mistakes.
Erin seamlessly blends antique & vintage furnishings with new pieces and saturated color palettes with a bold blend of shape, texture and proportion. Setting the firm apart from the rest, are Shakoor's exclusive textile designs and decorative wall treatments.
The firm offers a full range of Servicesincluding turnkey interior design, design consultation, custom furniture design and real estate staging.
Shakoor Interiors was featured in the inaugural Merchandise Mart Dream Home series- a collection of interior design vignettes and luxury products sold exclusively through the Mart's Design Center. Erin has written articles for, been featured and quoted in various publications including Merchandise Mart-In Residence, Chicago Tribune Magazine, Chicago Sun-Times Designer's Eye, Washington Spaces, Chicago Home + Garden, Essence and Garden Design. She has participated in trend forecasting for Kravet, a world-renowned luxury textile and furnishings company.
